Celebration days at the Delhi Branch
Shrine on Darshan night
The four Darshan Days, the Foundation Day of
the Delhi Branch, and other special occasions
are celebrated, sometimes with a day-long programme.
The birthdays of Sri Aurobindo and The
Mother are well attended and the celebrations are
spread over several days. Many devotees from the
town make it a point to spend these days at the
Ashram and have their meals here as Prasad.

Eminent speakers on various spiritual subjects
are invited on Darshan days and special days to
give enlightening talks and discourses on Sri
To rejuvenate the energy, to use the talents and
potentials of young people of the Ashram, cultural
programme and physical demonstrations are
organized twice in a year.

Padma Shri Prahlad Singh Tipanya ji brought the mystic poet Kabir alive for all of us
through his most simple and soulful rendering of some of Kabir's poems. The message of
Kabir for all seekers, to give the mind centered on the One; the simple joy of love and
remembrance of the One, and the most profound truth of the Supreme housed on every living
being these were some of the themes of the songs offered of the riches still living in the
wisdom of 'past' yogis and mystics, combined with the simple beauty of our folk traditions.

5 December : Sri Aurobindo’s Mahasamadhi Day. Satsang at 10 a.m. and 6.30 p.m.
25 December : Christmas: 'The Descent of Light'. Satsang at 7 p.m.
31 December : Midnight meditation and calendar distribution.
