Enshrinement of Relics day in Nainital

Van Niwas is an idyllic hill top retreat at 7,400 ft in a picturesque sylvan setting amid the lush verdure of the Holy Himalaya, far above the pollution and din of the town life. One can immerse in the tranquility of our Ashram, a sanctuary of peace featuring a sacred Relics Hall, serene Meditation Hall, and a well-stocked Library with a Reading Room for spiritual exploration and self-discovery. The very surroundings induce calm and peace and it is an ideal place for silent contemplation.

Sri Aurobindo Relics Pratishtha Diwas function was celebrated with with reverence, devotion and cultural dignity. This entire event was organized under the patronage and guidance of Tara Jauhar, Trustee and Chairperson of Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Delhi Branch. On this occasion, Tara Jauhar also inaugurated a Visual Exhibition Gallery, which focuses specifically on the life, sadhana and work of Sri Aurobindo and Sri Ma.

The program started with the morning 'Anand Gaan - Songs of Bliss', in which students from various schools of Nainital participated and gave melodious renditions of spiritual and devotional songs The chief guest of this program, Nagar Palika President Dr. Saraswati Khetwal praised the performance of the students.

The evening 'Sangeet Sandhya' was a major attraction of the event. Gaurav Bisht and Siddhant Negi filled the atmosphere with devotion with their soulful vocal performances, while Kartikeya Vashisht's flute created a divine wave. The accompaniment of Uttarakhand's renowned tabla player Smit Tiwari and famous singer Gaurav Bisht made these performances even more impressive.

Padma Shri recipient Anup Sah (renowned nature photographer) and Lalit Tiwari, a well-known theatre artist and cultural personality of the country, were present as special guests in the program.
