As per the Department of Education, the pre-primary classes are now typically reorganized into three levels:

• Balvatika-1: Previously Nursery (3–4 years).
• Balvatika-2: Previously Lower KG (4–5 years).
• Balvatika-3: Previously Upper KG (5–6 years).

Age Alignment: The new system aligns with the NEP goal that children should only enter Class 1 after reaching 6+ years of age, ensuring they spend three years in the Foundational Stage (Balvatika).

Objective: The goal is to provide a play-based program focused on cognitive, linguistic, and foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) skills to prepare children for school.

The initiative aims to standardize pre-school education, bringing it under the purview of the formal education system (NEP 2020).

A program was held by The Mother's International School in the meditation hall to give parents an insight into this new education structure.
